Serious reveals new Shoreditch festival

Serious – producers of the EFG London Jazz Festival and nationwide live events – have unveiled a new festival, called Serious Space, taking place in Shoreditch 18-23 May.

Rich Mix, one of the venues hosting the new festival, faces closure over a legal row with Tower Hamlets. Miranda at the Ace Hotel will join Rich Mix in hosting music and AV spectacles for the fest.

Serious Space offers a programme of innovative new work coupled with a range of contemporary music and collaborative arts projects. It provides a platform for showcasing exciting new artists alongside more established acts who are presenting new work.

This year, you can see Serious Space artists across the UK in Bath, Brighton, Bristol, Cambridge, Glasgow, Hull, Leeds, Norwich and Nottingham.

In 2016, Serious will create a second version of Serious Space outside London, as well as touring Serious Space artists across Britain.
