London-based events company Showcase is launching its dedicated AV department.

The company has been developing the department for more than a year, with investment made in audio visual technology, design, set and stage systems and key personnel.

Now in its eighth year, Showcase is working through a five-year plan to reach £13 million turnover – and the new department is key to achieving that. The AV team will work on both indoor and outdoor events, including conferences, awards, exhibitions and sporting events. It will also support Showcase’s existing customer base with design and permanent installation of technical equipment.

Ben Collings, previously of Universal & Piccadilly Live, will head up the new department as its sales and operations director.
