Star Events has invested £500k in new kit, in a commitment to bring next-gen products and initiatives to its business.

The investment provides for:

·      PA/screen support towers that minimise both footprint and sightline obstructions

·      Upgrades to the Orbit and VerTech stage ranges

·      Health and safety equipment for the crew and production teams

Enterprise and stock management systems have also been upgraded to improve the business’ logistical accuracy.

With the £500k, Star Events is introducing more than 700 new equipment stillages that will allow all of its kit to be fully stackable with each other. This will hopefully improve the speed and safety of handling on and off site, said the team.

Andy Moss, operations manager, Star Events, said: “The use of forklifts and telehandlers on outdoor sites continues to be a source of serious accidents, so redesigning stock for safer handling is not only a good idea, it is a legal necessity for us and our clients.”
