The Silverstone Wing Conference and Exhibition Centre will host an event industry charity event this May.

Four teams of event industry luminaries will take part in a cycle ride fundraiser over a 3.66-mile circuit. With event facilities for the support teams and logistics, the race will be an endurance ride to see what team can cover the greatest distance in three hours.

The teams will be lead by event industry figures; Trevor Foley, managing director of tfconnect representing for Events for Namuwongo; Laura Moody, managing director of Blondefish riding for Walk Tall and Nick Grecian, group managing director of Gallowglass riding for Howards Way Walk. The fourth team will be Silverstone itself.

“This is a wonderful initiative. Cycling is hugely popular amongst event professionals and being able to ride on the Silverstone Circuit with the support of the events team and the Silverstone Wing itself is very exciting,” said Laura Moody, managing director of Blondefish.

Chris Zachar, head of sales at Silverstone Circuits, commented: “We are delighted to be hosting this event. It’s all about good causes in the event industry and makes great use of the flexibility and usability of the venue and event spaces.”
