Silverstone is set to launch a Fans’ Thursday initiative to mark the 50th Grand Prix race to be held at the circuit this summer.

On the Thursday before the race, motosport fans will get the chance to tour the Pit Lane as the teams and drivers are preparing for the British Grand Prix, which takes place on 4-6 July.

There will be five Pit Lane Walkabouts over the course of the day.

A limited number of tickets are available for each Walkabout and will be allocated on the day, with further details expected to be revealed in due course.

Richard Phillips, Silverstone’s managing director said: “Our loyal fans are incredibly important to us and we are constantly looking at ways to give them an even better experience. The introduction of Fans’ Thursday is part of our plan to make our 50th celebrations really special.”
