Star Events Group, and new parent company Altrad Beaver 84, have been named Official Suppliers to AEG Live for the Jaguar Land Rover Invictus Games Closing Concert at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.

Star Events and Beaver 84 will provide all the staging, seating, production and broadcast structures for the concert, which takes place on 14 September, as well as most of the fencing, barriers and ground protection. The structures will also be used for the Opening Ceremony on 10 September.

Project Director for AEG Live, Jim King, said: “It made a lot of sense to work with Star Events on these prestigious events, due to the close working relationship between our team and theirs, and also because of Star’s extensive experience of working in the Olympic Park both during and after the London 2012 Games.”

The Closing Ceremony will be headlined by Foo Fighters and will feature sets from Kaiser Chiefs, Ellie Goulding, Ryan Adams, The Vamps, Rizzle Kicks, James Blunt, Diversity and Military Wives Choirs.

The 26,000 capacity space will use the famous back-drop of the Stadium and The ArcelorMittal Orbit, with highlights broadcast by the BBC.
