Pharrell Williams, Arctic Monkeys and Aerosmith are among the headlining acts for the T in the Park and Download festivals this summer.

T in the Park , held in Balado, Scotland, will see Scottish acts Biffy Clyro and Calvin Harris close the Main Stage, becoming the first Scotsmen to do so in 13 years.

Pharrell Williams, fresh off his hit single “Happy“, is confirmed for the festival, along with Arctic Monkeys, Paolo Nutini, Ellie Goulding, Rudimental and Franz Ferdinand.

The line-up was booked using a customer survey as guidance, festival director Geoff Ellis said. Last year’s event attracted 250,000 punters. T in the Park will take place this year on 11-13 July and organisers expect a crowd of 85,000.

Download Festival also announced its line-up, which leads with Avenged Sevenfold, Linkin Park and Aerosmith.

The festival has booked 24 bands so far, with more to follow. Among the 24 are Rob Zombie, Within Temptation, Radkey and Fall Out Boy. Download, held each year at Donington Park in Derby, takes place this year on 13-15 June.
