Access All AreasAltrad Beaver 84, part of The Altrad Group, has acquired a majority shareholding in staging, seating and rigging specialist Star Events Group.
Star Events has been going for 38 years and provides infrastructure to events both domestic and international.
The acquisition makes Steve Tyso managing director at Star Events Group/Altrad Beaver 84, where he will be supported by a commercial team. Meanwhile, original Star Events co-founder Roger Barrett is the new special projects director.
Altrad’s event managers – Bryan Coombs and Tony Wilcox – will help guide Star Events as it further expands into different markets.
Star Events will keep its base in Bedford, as well as its 600-square metre warehouse in Shanghai.
