The Jockey Club has announced that it will work with event and safety specialist Symphotech for 23 live concert dates throughout summer 2016.

The Jocky Club Live is a series of concerts combining horse racing with live music, featuring artists such as The Corrs, Bryan Adams and Little Mix.

Symphotech will provide production management and health and safety for the events, which will take place across seven racecourses.

Julian Spear, director of Symphotech said: “Hosting gigs in racecourses gives audiences a sense of a special occasion. There are many considerations in adapting the racecourses to being outdoor concert venues, so we will be drawing on our experience to make the 2016 shows very special.”

Deacon Blue will kick off The Jockey Club Live on 13 May at Aintree Racecourse.
