Chefs are delivering a hole in one for hospitality service at The Open Championship this July.
 
Executive head chef Ben Dutson has created a menu of regional, locally-sourced food, including meat, dairy and shellfish. Really getting into the swing of things, he also invented a new burger in honour of the tournament – the Open Gourmet Burger.
 
“It’ll be a very far cry from fast food, factory production, line-style burgers, which get stacked up in chutes,” Dutson said. “We’re delivering a gourmet burger from grill to bun in ten seconds.”
 
The burger is to be the top choice for guests in The Champion’s Club – just one of many hospitality areas operating near the 16th hole. Others include The Gallery Restaurant, The 1860 Club and The Premier Suites.
 
The Open Championship takes place on 16-20 July at Royal Liverpool Golf Club.
