Thomas Bach Elected President Of The IOC

Thomas Bach, a lawyer and former fencing gold medallist, has been elected president of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), succeeding Jacques Rogge in world sport’s most powerful position. 

The 59-year-old, a long time favourite for the job, was officially unveiled at a ceremony in Beunos Aires on Tuesday afternoon.
