Ticketscript, the self-ticketing service company, has appointed Charlie Sefi as country director UK and Ireland to further the business’ success in the UK.

Sefi has held senior roles within the industry over the past 16 years, most recently, as one of the founding team at Yplan, where he launched the brand into the US and UK markets, working with clients including the iTunes festival and The O2 Arena.

At Ticketscript, Sefi will contribute to the company’s plans for international expansion and build the company’s client portfolio in the UK and Ireland.

The appointment comes on the back of Ticketscript’s best year to date, having received £7m investment in 2014 from private equity firm FF&P, and being named as one of the fastest-growing technology companies in the UK by Deloitte. Ticketscript also won Best Admission Control Company at the Event Production Show 2015.

Jason Thomas, chief commercial officer said: ”We are excited to have Charlie on board in what is a very exciting time for the company. His vast digital e-commerce experience will undoubtedly help continue our significant growth and ensure Ticketscript remain Europe’s leading self-ticketing platform.’

Charlie Sefi added: “Ticketscript are at a really exciting stage with their continuing international expansion. I can’t wait to join the team, and I’m relishing the opportunity to help event organisers, venues and promoters sell more and grow their business through our unique data-rich ticketing solutions.”
