The founder of Tribal Gathering/Final Frontier, Paul Shurey, is in a critical condition following a serious motorcycle accident in Goa.

Tribal Gathering launched in 1993 at Luton Hoo and was attended by more than 25,000 people. It was effectively the first legal rave in Britain.

Over the next five years, Shurey became established as Britain’s most successful dance music promoter. As well as the Tribal Gathering events, he popularised underground techno and house via his Final Frontier parties at Wandsworth’s Club UK in 1994.

Today, he is in an Indian intensive care unit and needs to be repatriated. Shurey’s travel insurance company are not covering the claim and his friends and family have launched an appeal to raise money to bring him back to the UK.

After two operations on his brain Paul is fighting for recovery,” his brother, Simon, said. We, his family and friends, are trying to cover the cost of his ongoing treatment and any donations would be very gratefully received.”

Paul Shurey is a father, a friend to many, a talented musician, a legendary promoter, a digital marketeer and someone who has time for everyone. Make a donation, however small, and help save his life: http://www.gofundme.com/2nnvdc
