Twickenham Experience Limited (Twickenham) has landed in the US to exhibit for the first time at IMEX America. The three-day exhibition for incentive travel, meetings and events kicks off today in Las Vegas.
The home of England Rugby has said it is prepared to take advantage of increased interest from the North American market, with the impending arrivals of two National Football League (NFL) games in October 17.
The return of the National Football League follows on from the success of the league’s inaugural game at Twickenham last year. The stadium is now set to host two regular season games later this month, and has reported increased interest from meetings and event planners from North America.
“We’ve already got really strong relationships with buyers in North America and are looking to create more at IMEX next week,” commented Jade Humphrey, interim head of sales and marketing, Twickenham Experience Ltd. “A slightly weaker pound is giving organisers even more reason to bring their business to Twickenham, but now, with the theatre and attention around the NFL, there really has never been a better time for this market to come to our venue.”
Twickenham recently announced new development plans on the stadium’s East Stand. The project expands the meetings and events facility within the stadium’s South Stand and is in line with the venue’s progress in providing diverse and purpose built events space for organisers around the world.
Exhibiting at IMEX America, Twickenham will be partnering with London DMC on the stand, bringing a flavour of authentic England to the show.
