An immersive three-day event brought 300 directors and managers to the Fat Face Brand Camp last week (9-11 September).

The camp, which hosted daytime team building activities and evening dinners, music and a conference, was held at a remote farm near Scafell Pike in the Lake District.

The site, known as the wettest place in the UK, provided some unique challenges for the suppliers involved, including Amazing Tents – who erected their S 5000 Duo span structure – and Utopium, who provided  the technical event production.

Utopium supplies the site lighting, generators’ power and distro, as well as a logistics schedule that kept the event from getting bogged down in the mud.

“We really did start with a blank canvas – in the middle of nowhere,” said Utopium director Colin Bodenham. “In addition to the conference and club-style lighting for the events, the real ‘wow’ factor came from taking a lot of content generated by Fat Face and repurposing it for video projection and video mapping that followed the contours of the S 5000 Duo span interior.”

Bodenham and his team loaded in and managed all the video and video mapping for the event.

“With this event, we wanted to inspire our teams with this lifestyle, along with delivering some important business messages,” said Fat Face’s event production manager Ian Williams. “Fat Face was amazed at the level of venue and production achieved in this location.”
