Shoe and clothing manufacturer Vans has previewed its experiential House of Vans space, which is set to launch on Thursday (7 August) in the tunnels of the Old Vic, London.

Access is set to attend the opening of the 850-capacity concept space, which features an art gallery skate and BMX park and a 100-seat cinema.

Agency Zero Degrees Events will handle technical production at the venue’s opening event, which will feature yet to be announced acts.

The space, which features decor inspired by the brand’s 1960s heritage, is set to be open to the public in the long term, with facilities for skaters and live events on weekends.

Vans previously opened a House of Vans in Brooklyn, New York, and the concept was also been rolled out in Berlin, Germany, in January for a short period of time.

Jeremy de Maillard, Vans VP of marketing, said: “The House of Vans London is the physical manifestation of the cultures and creativity at the heart of the Vans brand. London is the perfect city to expand this original concept first established in Brooklyn and it’s an honour to take over this iconic venue from the Old Vic.

“We’re looking forward to building on this legacy, working closely with the local communities and key stakeholders involved in the project.”
